ACJU’s Condolence Message on the demise of the Most Ven. Maduluwave Sobitha Thera

We, All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama, are saddened to hear of the demise of the Most Respectable Maduluwave Sobitha Thera, the Chief incumbent of Kotte Naga Temple, and extend our deepest sympathies to all who mourn in this country irrespective of caste, creed and religion.  He was well-known to all Sri Lankans for his struggle and efforts taken to establish democracy in the country with justice, wisdom and simplicity.

In order to establish a peaceful and a prosperous motherland he worked hard to carry forward his mission to set up a society of justice for the welfare of all communities, giving equal importance to all.

The highest degree of honor and gratitude that all Sri Lankans could give him is to carry forward his everlasting mission of struggling hard for the countries development, peace and prosperity as Sri Lankan citizens.

We, All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama, on behalf of the Muslim community convey our deepest condolence to all Sri Lankan Buddhists, the respectable members of the Boards of Trustees, and Buddhist clergies of Kotte Naga Temple.
