On November 7, 2024, a cordial meeting took place between the Executive Committee members of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama and the newly appointed Bangladeshi High Commissioner to Sri Lanka, His Excellency Mr. Andalib Elias, at the Jamiyyathul Ulama head office.
This meeting was organized at the request of the High Commissioner and scheduled during the Central Committee meeting of the Jamiyyathul Ulama.
During the meeting, the General Secretary of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama, Ash-Sheikh M. Arkam Nooramith, introduced the High Commissioner to the organization’s various activities and operations and provided an overview of the concerns affecting Sri Lankan Muslims.
In his remarks, the High Commissioner shared insights into the origins and history of Bangladeshi Muslims with the Executive Committee members. He also reaffirmed his commitment to promoting unity and harmony among all Sri Lankan citizens.
At the conclusion of the discussion, the High Commissioner was presented with publications from the Jamiyyathul Ulama.
