A special program to provide monthly financial assistance to Senior Ulama was launched by the ACJU Social Services Division under the project ‘Takreemul Ulama’. The inauguration event for the commencement of this program was held on 16th of March, 2021 (Tuesday) at ACJU – Head Office.
The event commenced with the recital of Qirath by Ash Shaikh M.A.M. Arshad, following which Ash Shaikh M. Arkam Nooramith, General Secretary of ACJU delivered the Welcome speech.
The Introduction Speech was delivered by the Secretary of the ACJU Social Service Division Ash Shaikh Abdul Muksith, during which he praised the senior Ulama for their dedicational services for the community and their contribution towards the growth of ACJU. Further he stated “the growth of the ACJU has contained the sweat drops of the senior Aalims”.
Ash Shaikh M.J. Abdul Khaliq, (Acting) President of ACJU delivered a remarkable speech commemorating the sacrifice of the Senior Ulama for the growth of ACJU and Mufthi Rizwe’s contribution to its growth. He also highlighted the valuable services which are being offered by ACJU to the people of our country. Further he expressed concerns over the current issues faced by the Muslim communities.
Following this speech, 3 invitees among the Senior Ulama were requested to address the gathering. The beneficiary tokens were presented to the invitees by the members of the ACJU Executive Committee.
The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Ash Shaikh A.L.M. Khaleel -Treasurer of All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama.
