وَاَنْفِقُوْا فِىْ سَبِيْلِ اللّٰهِ وَلَا تُلْقُوْا بِاَيْدِيْكُمْ اِلَى التَّهْلُكَةِ وَاَحْسِنُوْا ۚ اِنَّ اللّٰهَ يُحِبُّ الْمُحْسِنِيْنَ
“Spend in the way of Allah and do not put yourselves into destruction, and do good. Of course, Allah loves those who do good.” (Surah 02, Verse 195)
Hazrat Abu Hurairah (RadhiyAllahu Anhu) narrated that Allah’s Messenger (ﷺ) said, “Allah said, ‘O son of Adam! Spend, and I shall spend on you.” (Sahih Bukhari, Sahih Muslim)
It is well known, that amongst the prevailing economic crisis situation in the country, several areas have been effected by floods and landslides due to adverse weather conditions. During these difficult situations, by extending possible means of assistance to those effected, one shall acquire the Pleasure and Help of Almighty Allah, and shall gain protection from all forms of misfortunes.
Therefore, during this blessed month of Muharram, the ACJU appeals the wealthy and well-wishers, to extend possible assistance to those effected, through the respective Divisional Branches of ACJU and Masjid Trustees of the effected regions,
Furthermore, ACJU requests those who wish to make financial contributions, to contact Colombo District Masjid Federation (CDMF), Kandy District Masjid Federation (KDMF) and ACJU Kandy District Branch, in order to assist those effected.
