ACJU/NGS/2022/142
29.05.2022
Every citizen of this country including the children must be ensured that their right to a safe and free life is unconditionally protected.
The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama was deeply shocked when news broke that the dead body of Fathima Aysha, who went missing a few days ago in Atulugama, was found in a paddy field close to her home. The ACJU conveys its deepest sympathy and condolence to Fathima Aysha’s family.
The ACJU requests the relevant authorities to take immediate, necessary and appropriate measures to conduct investigations into this and to find out the perpetrator/s behind this horrible crime. Furthermore, the ACJU emphasises to the authorities on the need to ensure the right to a safe and free life for every citizen of this country, including its children. We are aware that similar incidents like this have taken place in our country before too. We pray to the Almighty Allah that this shall be the last such incident, and we believe that all parties and authorities ensure that they take responsibility to avoid the repetition of such incidents.
May the Almighty Allah bless this child’s soul, and make her parents and family be entitled to the goodness in both the worlds, along with the happiness of the Creator! Aameen.
