It is Sunnah to Fast on these Days. (March – 17, 18, 19)
Ayyamul Beedh of the Month of SHA`BAAN
We are expecting the days of ‘Ayyamul Beedh’ of the month of Sha`baan. ‘Ayyamul Beedh’ (White Days), are the 13th, 14th, 15th of every lunar month. Messenger of Allah (g) has encouraged His Companions to observe fast for 3 days every month, especially to fast on the days of ‘Ayyamul Beedh’.
Hazrat Abdullah bin `amr (Radiyallahu Anh) narrated that Prophet (g) said: “The fasting of three days (a month) will be equal to the fasting of the whole year.” (Saheeh al-Bukhari 1979)
Hazrat Abu Dharr (Radiyallahu Anh) narrated that the Messenger of Allah said: “O Abu Dharr! When you fast three days out of a month, then fast the thirteenth, fourteenth, and fifteenth.” (Jami` at-Tirmidhi 761)
