The Central Committee meeting which selected the new Executive Committee of ACJU for the next three years, was held on 2022.06.18 at Furqaniyya Arabic College, Kandy. The first meeting of the newly selected Executive Committee members was held on Saturday, 2022.06.25 at the ACJU Head office under the leadership of President Mufti M.I.M. Rizwe.
The new Executive Committee Members and Office Bearers attended the full day session and presented a number of constructive suggestions on various aspects of the country and the community. It is noteworthy that Appointment Letters were officially handed over to the office bearers and members of the Executive Committee during this meeting, who accepted their responsibilities.
Inaugurating the session of the new Executive Committee, the President of ACJU said, “This is a great responsibility placed upon us, and we need to progress forward by undertaking various sacrifices and commitments during this period for the betterment of the country and the community.”
Following this, General Secretary of ACJU, Ash Shaikh Arkam Nooramith, said: “We are here as representatives of more than 8,000 Ulama of Sri Lanka. Our Central Committee has selected us during a period in which the country and the community is undergoing a crisis situation. We need to strengthen our connection with Almighty Allah and guide our community, while we carry out our activities in a planned and orderly manner. ”
The full-day meeting was concluded with the vote of thanks by Treasurer of ACJU – Ash Shaikh Dr. A. Azwar Azahim and Kaffarathul Majlis at 7.30pm.
