Due to the heavy rains in various areas across the country, the routine lives of the people have been effected drastically and facing various difficulties. It has been reported that several areas have been flooded due to these rains, and disaster warnings have also been issued.
In this situation, ACJU appeals the local people to extend possible assistance to the victims of their respective areas. And the ACJU also urges everyone to seek protection from Almighty Allah from the dangers of these weather conditions and for the people who suffering due to this situation, to be blessed with quick relief.
Furthermore, ACJU appeals the locals of the areas, in which disasters such as floods and landslides are likely to occur, to adhere to the instructions issued by the respective Government authorities, and the local Ulama to guide the people of their respective locality on how to conduct themselves during these critical situations while encouraging them to recite the following Duas (supplications) and seek help and protection from Almighty Allah.
Dua (supplication) to be recited when there is excessive Rain
اللهم حَوَالَيْنَا، ولا علينا، اللهم على الآكام والظِّرَاب وبطون الأودية، ومنابت الشجر
‘O Allah! (Make it rain) around us (our surroundings) and not on us. O Allah! (Send this rain) on the plateaus, on the mountains, on the hills, in the valleys and on the places where trees grow (fields). (Bukhari 1013)
Dua (supplication) to be recited during strong winds
اللهُمَّ إِنِّي أَسْأَلُكَ خَيْرَهَا، وَخَيْرَ مَا فِيهَا، وَخَيْرَ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ، وَأَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ شَرِّهَا، وَشَرِّ مَا فِيهَا، وَشَرِّ مَا أُرْسِلَتْ بِهِ
“O Allah! I ask Thee for what is good in it (wind), and the good which it contains, and the good of that which it was sent for. I seek refuge with Thee from what is evil in it, what evil it contains, and the evil of that what it was sent for” (Muslim 899)
May Allah Ta’ala ease these adverse weather conditions and protect us from all dangers.
