The Prophet (ﷺ) has recited Qunoot-an-Naazila in prayers during calamities.
Dua is a form of worship, and it is also a weapon to submit our appeals about our distresses and helplessness to Allah.
Allah Ta’aala states the following in the Holy Quran:
“Call upon Me, I will respond to you” (Surah Gha’fir Verse 60)
“I am near. I respond to the call of one when he prays to Me” (Surah Baqarah: 186)
Accordingly, we too engaged in reciting Duas and Qunoot-an-Naazila to seek protection from the effects of the Covid-19 pandemic. At present we are aware that, people across the globe are not only facing the dangers of Covid-19, but also are being subjected to violence, oppression and various other difficulties.
Hence, the ACJU urges all Muslims to recite the Qunoot-an-Naazila during the five obligatory prayers, for a period of one month concisely with faith, for the eradication of the Covid-19 pandemic and to be blessed with prosperity, and for justice for those being subjected to oppression.
The ACJU requests recite the following Duas when reciting Qunoot-an-Naazila.
اللَّهُمَّ اهْدِنِي فِيمَنْ هَدَيْتَ، وَعَافِنِي فِيمَنْ عَافَيْتَ، وَتَوَلَّنِي فِيمَنْ تَوَلَّيْتَ، وَبَارِكْ لِي فِيمَا أَعْطَيْتَ، وَقِنِي شَرَّ مَا قَضَيْتَ، فإِنَّكَ تَقْضِي وَلا يُقْضَى عَلَيْكَ، وَإِنَّهُ لا يَذِلُّ مَنْ وَالَيْتَ، وَلا يَعِزُّ مَنْ عَادَيْتَ، تَبَارَكْتَ رَبَّنَا وَتَعَالَيْتَ (سنن أبي داود)
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنَ الْبَرَصِ وَالْجُنُونِ وَالْجُذَامِ وَمِنْ سَيِّئِ الأَسْقَامِ (سنن أبي داود)
اللَّهُمَّ إنِّي أعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ جَهْدِ الْبَلَاءِ، وَدَرَكِ الشَّقَاءِ، وَسُوءِ الْقَضَاءِ، وَشَمَاتَةِ الْأَعْدَاءِ (صحيح البخاري)
اللَّهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ مِنْ زَوَالِ نِعْمَتِكَ وَتَحَوُّلِ عَافِيَتِكَ وَفُجَاءَةِ نِقْمَتِكَ وَجَمِيعِ سَخَطِكَ (صحيح مسلم)
اَللَّهُمَّ أَعِزَّ الْإِسْلَامَ وَالْمُسْلِمِيْنَ واجْعَلْهُمْ آمِنِينَ مُطمَئِنِّينَ فِي كُلِّ مَكَانٍ يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
وَاحْفَظْهُمْ وَاحْفَظْ حُقُوقَهُمْ وَنِسَاءَهُمْ وَاطْفَالَهُمْ وَبُيُوتَهُمْ وَمَسَاجِدَهُمْ يَارَبَّ الْعَالَمِيْنَ
