It is well known that the Covid-19 pandemic which is a threat to the all the countries in the world, has affected many people of our country as well. The ACJU prays for the quick recovery of all those who were affected by this disease.

The normalcy of the lives of many people in our country have been disrupted, due to the effects of this pandemic. Especially those who earn their living as daily wagers, have been severely affected. The ACJU kindly requests to identify such vulnerable people in the society and provide assistance to them in all possible means.

Feeding the poor is a highly virtuous deed in Islam. It is reported as a narration of Prophet Muhammad (Salallahu Alaihi Wasallam) that: ‘He is not a believer whose stomach is filled while the neighbor by his side goes hungry’ (Baihaqi). It is also reported in another Hadith ‘Sadaqa (charity) averts an evil death’ (Tirmidhi). Hence, it is important that all of us engage in acts of charity abundantly during these crucial times.

A significant number of poor people can be taken care of, by every individual taking up the responsibility of looking after the needs of at least one poor person. The ACJU earnestly appeals the ACJU (District and Divisional) Branches, Masjid Federations of the respective areas and other social organizations to collaborate and identify the affected needy people of the their areas on humanitarian basis regardless of racial or religious differences and to offer possible relief assistance while extending their support to the neighboring districts as well.

Furthermore the ACJU requests those who engage in such relief efforts to obtain the necessary permits from the respective authorities and to strictly abide the stipulated government and health regulations.

May Almighty Allah protect everyone from the impacts of deadly disease, Aameen!
