Let’s Pray for the Muslims in Myanmar

The status of Rohingya Muslims is very sorrowful. They are being murdered, raped and burdened with unjustifiable attacks. They are being rudely attacked by the Army and are being confronted with various forms of torture and are unable to protect their lives.

We, All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama, very strongly condemn this brutal injustice over innocent people, and strongly condemn the silence maintained by the International Community, especially the Muslim nations, who seemed to be blind to the violent persecution in Myanmar. We, the ACJU, call upon all the countries in the world to raise their voice against the atrocities that committed over these innocent human beings and to collectively assist in providing a permanent solution for their problems.

It is a great distress that even the Media have failed in their moral duties on highlighting the public over this critical situation. As the Prophet (PBUH) said that Muslims are compared to a single body: any one’s suffering will affect another. Therefore, it is the duty of every Muslim to act in support of these people.

The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama requests all Muslims to pray Allah, the Almighty, to ease the difficulties of all Muslims around the globe, and especially for a permanent solution for the Rohingya Muslims. Furthermore the ACJU requests all Khatheebs to address this subject in Jumu’ah Sermons and make Dua for them.

Ash-Sheikh M.M.A. Mubarak,
General Secretary,
All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama
