A delegation of Ulama from ACJU Branches of Kandy and Kurunegala Districts visited the areas which were affected by the recent floods in Puttalam, on the 15th of November 2021, under the leadership of Ash Shaikh H. Omardeen, one of the Vice Presidents of ACJU.
During this visit, members of the ACJU Branches and members of other associated organizations were met and matters regarding the situation of those affected by the floods were discussed.
It was revealed that hundreds of houses were damaged, many businesses were destroyed and the livelyhood of the people have been drastically affected as well, due to these floods.
The ACJU appeals everyone to extend possible assistance and support to those affected to be relieved from this current situation.
