Assalamu Alaikum warahmathullahi wabarakathuhu,
As a result of the continuous attacks in Palestine, thousands of Muslims lost their lives and many are injured. May Allah offer Jannathul Firdous for those who lost their lives and grant quick recovery for the injured.
In situations like this as Muslims we should strengthen our connection with Allah by engaging in Salah, fasting, giving charity, repenting to Allah, making Isthighfar and dua.
Fasting on Mondays and Thursdays are Sunnah.
Accordingly in order to bring in peace, prosperity along with law and order in the entire world including Palestine and Gaza, The All Ceylon Jammiyyathul Ulama requests all Muslims in Sri Lanka to make dua while fasting on Thursday (tomorrow) and next Monday.
Also the ACJU has already instructed all Masjids to perform Qunuth-An Nazila.
