Ash-Shaikh Y.L.M. Nawavi, who has been appointed as the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU), officially assumed duties on 10 August 2026 at the ACJU Head office, in the presence of the President and members of the Executive Committee.
The newly appointed CEO was warmly welcomed by the President, Vice Presidents, Treasurer, Assistant General Secretary, and members of the Executive Committee of the ACJU.
As part of the induction programme, the President of the ACJU, Mufti M.I.M. Rizwe, provided an overview of the organisation, including its institutional structure, key activities, areas of work, and its role in serving the Muslim community and the wider society.
This was followed by an introduction to the various divisions and sub-divisions of the ACJU, as well as an overview of the staff and personnel serving within these divisions. This session was conducted by ACJU Vice President Ash-Shaikh M.H.M. Burhan.
As part of the formal induction, a copy of the ACJU’s Activity Report covering its programmes, initiatives, and activities carried out over the past ten years was also presented to the newly appointed CEO.
The appointment of a Chief Executive Officer marks an important step in further strengthening the organisational and operational capacity of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama and enhancing the effective implementation of its programmes and services.
