Former Member of Parliament and United People’s Power parliamentary election candidate, Dr. Harsha de Silva, visited the head office of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU) on October 22, 2024, and engaged in a cordial meeting with its executive committee members.
The meeting time was arranged upon his request.
During the meeting, ACJU General Secretary, Ash-Sheikh M. Arkam Nooramith, provided an introduction to the organization and explained its initiatives to the visiting dignitaries. He emphasized that the ACJU is an apolitical religious institution, committed to guiding the people of Sri Lanka to live in peace and mutual understanding at all times.
Following this, Dr. Harsha de Silva elaborated on his political policies and discussed his future plans.
At the conclusion of the event, Dr. Harsha de Silva was presented with a Sinhala translation of the Qur’an, along with several other publications released by the ACJU.
The meeting was attended by the ACJU’s Vice President, Deputy Vice President, General Secretary, Treasurer, and several executive committee members.
