On July 1, 2024, the General Secretary of Jammiyathul Ulama-e-Hind, Ash-Sheikh Maulana Mahmood Madani, paid a visit to the head office of the All Ceylon Jammiyathul Ulama.
During this meeting, the President of the ACJU, Mufti M.I.M. Rizwe, reminisced about Maulana Mahmood Madani’s visit to Sri Lanka approximately 20 years ago, during the period of the Tsunami disaster. At that time, Maulana Mahmood Madani provided guidance for the immediate humanitarian assistance and actions undertaken by the ACJU.
Furthermore, Mufti Rizwe introduced the coordinators of the ACJU’s sub-committees in person and provided clarifications regarding the operations of these sub-committees.
During this meeting, Maulana Mahmood Madani emphasized the necessity of implementing plans related to co-existence, the development of scholars, secular education, and strengthening their lives.
