On 30th August 2025, the election of the new Executive Committee of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU) for the forthcoming three-year term was duly conducted at the Wellawatte Jumu’ah Mosque.
Prior to the commencement of the election, the members of the Executive Committee convened and unanimously appointed Ash-Shaikh M.H.M. Burhaan as the Provisional Chairman. To assist him in this role, Ash-Shaikh S.H.M. Ismail Salafi and Ash-Shaikh A.H. Ihsaanudeen were also elected.
Following this, the Executive Committee which had served from August 2022 to August 2025 was formally dissolved. In accordance with the Constitution of the Jamiyyah, a new Executive Committee comprising thirty (30) members was duly elected by the ninety-two (92) members of the Central Council who participated in the election.
From among these thirty (30) elected members, eleven (11) members were further elected to serve as office-bearers for the forthcoming term.

The selection was conducted in an orderly manner and concluded successfully through a secret ballot.
