On January 1, 2025, the General Secretary of ACJU, Ash Shaikh M. Arkam Nooramith, graced the ceremonial launch of the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ national project as a Guest on behalf of Muslim religious leaders. This initiative, spearheaded by the Government under above theme aims to promote environmental, social, and moral upliftment across the nation.
The event, held at the Presidential Secretariat under the patronage of His Excellency President Anura Kumara Dissanayake, was attended by a distinguished gathering of political leaders, religious figures, and prominent personalities from both local and international spheres.
In his address, the President highlighted the significance of the ‘Clean Sri Lanka’ project, urging all citizens—including religious institutions, public organizations, private entities, and individuals—to extend their support and cooperation toward this national endeavor.
It is noteworthy that this initiative is being implemented with the noble aim of not only enhancing environmental cleanliness but also fostering social and moral values across all sectors, with the ultimate goal of transforming the country into a better and more prosperous nation.
