On January 10, 2025, a special meeting was held between the Honorable Minister of Foreign Affairs, Mr. Vijitha Herath, and the distinguished scholars of the Executive Committee of the ACJU at the premises of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
Representing the ACJU, the General Secretary, Assistant Secretaries, Division Secretaries, and members of the Executive Committee participated in this significant occasion.
During the meeting, Ash-Shaikh M. Arkam Nooramith, the General Secretary of the ACJU, briefly introduced the organization, emphasizing that the ACJU consistently advocates for peaceful coexistence and harmony among all Sri Lankans.
The discussions extensively covered topics related to the religious, cultural, and human rights of Muslims in Sri Lanka, as well as the national-level initiatives undertaken by the ACJU thus far.
In response, Hon. Minister expressed his commitment to ensuring necessary facilities for matters discussed during the meeting, irrespective of religious differences, and stated that he would inform the relevant officials within his jurisdiction to address these concerns.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the ACJU presented a copy Sinhala Translation of the Holy Qur’an, along with several other publications, as a token of goodwill.

Fazil Farook (Secretary of the ACJU CCC Division), Ash-Shaikh M. Rifa Hassan (Secretary- ACJU Youth Division), Ash-Shaikh T. Nooman Omar (Senior Executive Officer).
This productive and cordial meeting underscored the mutual commitment to fostering understanding and cooperation across communities.
