The All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU) is a non-political Council of Islamic Religious Scholars with a legacy spanning over a century, representing more than ten thousand Ulama members from across the country.
We wish to clarify that any involvement of individual members of the ACJU Executive Committee, District, or Divisional Branches in political activities is solely a matter of their personal democratic rights and preferences. Such engagement does not represent the stance of the ACJU in any official capacity.
The use of the ACJU’s name in any political context by its members is strictly against the principles of the organization. We firmly state that the ACJU name must not be used for any political campaigns or endorsements under any circumstances, as doing so is inappropriate and unacceptable.
We respectfully request that all individuals involved in election campaigns refrain from utilizing the ACJU name for personal or political purposes.
Additionally, we reiterate that neither the ACJU Head Office nor its Branches endorse or support any political party.
