On 25th April 2025, as a gesture of condolence on the passing of Pope Francis, the Secretary General of the All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU), Ash-Sheikh M. Arkam Nooramith, and the Secretary of the Media Committee, Ash-Sheikh M. Rifah Hassan, paid a visit to the Vatican Embassy in Colombo.
During the visit, a message of condolence on behalf of the ACJU and the Muslim community of Sri Lanka was formally handed over to Archbishop Brian Udaigwe, the representative of the Embassy.
It is also noteworthy that the ACJU delegates recorded their messages in the book of condolences placed at the venue.
