Astronomy reports have stated that the partial lunar eclipse shall occur on Friday, 19th of November 2021 In Sha Allah. Furthermore, it is stated that the eclipse will not be visible in Sri Lanka.
The eclipse prayer is Sunnah when the moon or the sun is seen to disappear completely or partially. Since the eclipse will not be visible in our country, the eclipse prayer will not be Sunnah upon us.
Prophet Muhammad (Peace be upon him) said: The sun and the moon are two signs of Allah; they are not eclipsed on account of anyone’s death or on account of anyone’s birth. So when you see them, glorify and supplicate Allah, observe prayer, give alms.
