Due to Cyclone Ditwa, many have passed away from heavy rains, landslides, and floods. Those who wish to perform Salat al-Janazah al-Gha’ib (absentee funeral prayer) for them are encouraged to do so.
Residents of the areas where the deceased were buried should perform the Janazah at the burial sites, as absentee Janazah within the same locality is not permissible.
If reaching the burial sites is difficult, the prayer may be performed in a suitable place such as a masjid.
