We, All Ceylon Jamiyyathul Ulama (ACJU), express our deepest condolences to the people of Sri Lanka over the tragic loss of lives and the widespread destruction caused by Cyclone Ditwah. This calamity has brought profound sorrow to families and communities across the island, and our thoughts and prayers are with all who are suffering during this difficult time.

We offer our heartfelt sympathies on the tragic loss of Wing Commander Nirmal Siyambalapitiya of the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF), as well as the heartbreaking loss of five personnel of the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) who perished in the line of duty during rescue operations. Their bravery, selflessness, and unwavering commitment to protecting lives will forever be remembered with honour and gratitude.

We pray that Almighty Allah grants strength and patience to the families who have lost their loved ones, and that He protects all communities affected across the island. We also extend our sincere appreciation to the emergency services, armed forces, volunteers, and humanitarian teams who continue to work tirelessly to provide relief and ensure the safety and well-being of the affected population.

In this moment of national sorrow, let us unite in compassion, solidarity, and collective responsibility to support one another and contribute to the ongoing recovery and relief efforts.
