Assalamu Alaikum wa Rahmatullahi wa Barakatuh!

Due to the prevailing high temperatures and drought conditions in most parts of the country, people are facing severe difficulties.

Water is an essential necessity for human life. Its absence or insufficiency causes crops to wither and perish, and livestock and other living beings are also severely affected. Agricultural activities have likewise been disrupted due to the lack of adequate water.

In such extraordinary circumstances, it is from the guidance of our beloved Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) that we reassess and rectify our daily lives and increase in seeking forgiveness (Istighfar). Through this, our sins are forgiven and the mercy of Allah descends upon us.

Therefore, we urge all Muslims to repent for their sins, seek forgiveness abundantly, avoid wastefulness, engage in charity, and supplicate to Allah for rain so that the drought affecting the entire country may be alleviated.

In particular, we kindly request the ACJU Divisional Branches officials, Imams and Masjid Trustees, in the drought-affected areas to make necessary arrangements to conduct Salat al-Istisqa (the prayer for rain) and to recite the relevant supplications.

Allah mentions the advice given by Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) to his people as follows:

“Seek forgiveness from your Lord. Indeed, He is ever forgiving. He will send [rain from] the sky upon you in continuing showers, and give you increase in wealth and children, and provide for you gardens and rivers.” (Surah Nuh: 10–12)

Some supplications recited by our beloved Prophet (peace be upon him) for rain:

Note: We kindly request the ACJU Divisional Branch officials, Imams and Masjid Trustees, to take necessary steps according to the needs of their respective areas.
