إِنَّا لِلّهِ وَإِنَّـا إِلَيْهِ رَاجِعونَ
Verily to Allah we belong and to Him is our return.
إن لله ما أخذ وله ما أعطى وكل شيء عنده بأجل مُسمى
Surely, Allah takes what is His, and what He gives is His, and to all things He has appointed a time.
Former Emir of Kuwait Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad rightfully commanded great authority in the Middle East. His dedicated efforts contributed substantially to the socioeconomic development of Kuwait and the elevation of the country’s standing in the international arena. He was a friend of Sri Lanka and a keen supporter of the deep and longstanding partnership between our two countries.
We appreciate his personal contribution to fostering strong and friendly Sri Lankan-Kuwaiti relations.
We express our condolences to the honorable Al Sabah royal family and the dear people of Kuwait,
May Allah accept all his good deeds, purify his soul, and bless his life in the Hereafter better than this World, May He grant the family members and people of Kuwait peace and immense reward for their beautiful patience and unite all of them in Jannathul Firdous.
أللهم لا تحرمنا أجره ولا تفتنا بعده واغفر لنا وله
(O Allah, do not deprive us of our reward (for being patient) and do not subject us to trials after his death, forgive us and him)
